The British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association with the London Fire Brigade will run a one day, free-to-attend seminar

“Fire protection in multi storey buildings where we work, eat, rest and play”

Monday 4th December

London Fire Brigade HQ, 169 Union Street, London SE1 0LL

This focussed and vital seminar will examine the challenges and solutions which exist when protecting people from fire in the multitude of buildings (high rise and not so high rise – new and old) which have homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, car parks and leisure facilities as part of their daily function.

Our line-up of speakers, all experts in automatic fire suppression, will examine standards, regulations, technologies and practicalities alongside case studies and fire safety engineering solutions.

Confirmed speakers include :
Alan Brinson, Chief Executive of the European Fire Sprinkler Network : “The European approach to fire protection”
Andrea Ferrari, Hughes Associates Europe, Jensen Hughes European Alliance : “Fire protection and life safety in hotels: the approach of the main international hospitality brands”
Ian Gough, Senior Technical Adviser, BAFSA : “Standards, regulations and technical issues protecting multi storey/multi discipline/multi occupancy buildings”
Stewart Kidd, Loss Prevention Consultant, BAFSA : “Fire protection and retrofitting of sprinklers in individual, older buildings which have hospitality, commercial, retail and residential occupancies”
Keith MacGillivray, Chief Executive, BAFSA : “The need for competency and compliance through 3rd Party Certification, accreditation and qualification”

We are also discussing the possibility of an hotelier joining us to talk about his personal experience of a hotel fire and the decision to fit sprinklers which followed. Our host, London Fire Brigade, will also be providing first-hand knowledge of the need to protect life and property in these multi use, and often complex, buildings

This seminar represents an unmissable opportunity to gain vital knowledge and question the experts about how best to protect guests, residents, workforces and commercial interests in these challenging properties from the damage and destruction, and consequential business disruption from fire.

This one-day seminar has proved extremely popular and we hate to disappoint but it is now fully booked.
