ASFP to hold regional seminar in Leeds

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is holding a regional seminar on Tuesday 14th March 2023 at Leeds Headingley Stadium. The event, which runs from 10am-3.30pm, will explore best practice in design and installation of Passive Fire Protection (PFP).

ASFP Officer Niall Rowan will introduce the session on best practice in design and Dr Andy Taylor will provide a regulatory update, reviewing the development of the Building Safety Act and the investigating the potential impact of secondary legislation arising from it. Both will chair Q & A sessions during the day.

During the morning, our expert industry speakers will consider processes and competences necessary to achieve best practice in the design of three different forms of PFP. In the afternoon, they will discuss how to ensure best practice in the installation of three different forms of PFP. Our speakers bring expertise in the design manufacture and installation of PFP and include: Allan Jowsey (PFP Specialist); Bhiki Patel (Hempel); Damien Ward (Checkmate Fire Solutions); Douglas Masterson (Guild of Architectural Ironmongers); Paul McSoley (Mace Group); and David Harding (Actionair by Swegon).

The seminar will offer attendees the opportunity to network with industry specialists, ASFP members, and our sponsors One Trace and SFS. Priced at £60 plus VAT for members and £90 for non-members, it will provide valuable insight into PFP for those involved in PFP design, specification, purchasing, installation, inspection and maintenance. All delegates will be awarded three CPD hours and a Certificate of Attendance.
