Kentec’s new Sheffield training hub brings industry-leading face-to-face training to the north of England
Wednesday 4th September 2024: Leading end-to-end fire panel manufacturer Kentec Electronics has expanded its provision of top-tier training with the opening of its Northen Training Hub.
Established to work alongside the company’s existing Dartford training centre, the hub is based at the Nigeria Conference Centre, in Sheffield. It will enable Kentec to provide its industry-leading, classroom-based training packages, which have been recognised as excellent by installers and distributors around the world, to a larger audience.
Courses covering how to effectively install, commission, maintain, expand and update the Kentec Taktis Control panel and the associated Vision Repeater Unit will start from September. Other courses, such as those covering Kentec Syncro 8000 series (AS) fire detection panel, will follow from October.
Lee Oxley, technical support engineer and lead trainer at the Sheffield hub, said: “As a manufacturer of life safety products, Kentec Electronics takes training of our products very seriously. All our courses are designed by our experienced trainers to ensure knowledge and skills are kept up to date.
“We are very excited to announce our new Kentec Northern Training Hub for face-to-face, hands-on training. There is no better way to learn than by working with the panels themselves, and the new centre means more installers and distributors than ever before will have the opportunity to do just that.”
Oxley is a well-respected figure across the industry, and his training approach has been praised by many. The outstanding feedback he has received in recent months includes:
“A great course well delivered… and you even managed to teach some old dogs a few new tricks!” Richard Ogle, Fire Technical services Ltd.
“Thanks again Lee. All the lads enjoyed the course and are looking forward to the Taktis in the very near future,” Marvin Strong, Meridian Fire and Security Limited.
“Thank you for letting me attend. It was great to be there to learn all things regarding the Kentec Syncro AS panel,” Dan Chapman, Kentec.
