Chiltern International Fire expands Consultancy team

The appointment brings the strength of CIF’s team of in-house consultants to five, in line with the company’s business growth.

With a highly-specialised background in data analysis, his eye for fine detail, and ability to evaluate and translate complex information will prove invaluable in his new position.

James, 32,  joins a team with expertise in passive fire control products, including doors, walls, glazing, fire stopping and sealing.  The team produces technical reports evaluating changes to product design, present seminars, undertake site survey work, co-ordinate test programmes and represent Chiltern International Fire on national and European technical committees.

Mark Cummings, Deputy Technical Manager for Chiltern International Fire, said: “As a customer-focussed organisation, it’s important to have a team of consultants who not only understand the complexities of their field, but can explain it to non-experts in laymen’s terms. James’ strengths in data analysis and communication skills will add to an already effective and successful team.”

James added: “This is an exciting area to be working in. Knowing the life-safety element of passive fire control, understanding how our work is a key resource for industry, as well as the looking at the changes as we move towards European standards, gives a context to how the technical aspects of my job fit in to the full picture.”
