Safer Products = Better Business Applications Open for ESF Safety Innovation Award
Electrical Safety First has just opened applications for its Safety Innovation Award, with the closing dates for entries the 28th August.
Building on the success of last year’s award, the Charity is inviting applications from businesses – and individuals – who have developed an innovative product or safety initiative that has, or will, help improve electrical safety for consumers. Applications must include a detailed description of how the innovation works, supported by demonstrable evidence.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified in September, with selected finalists presenting to judges via Zoom or MS Teams in October. The winner will be announced at Electrical Safety First’s annual product safety conference on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November.
“At Electrical Safety First we put safety at the core of everything we do, and our Safety Innovation Award is intended to encourage like-minded organisations who prioritise safety”, explains Lesley Rudd, Chief Executive of Electrical Safety First. “So we are seeking organisations who develop products, services, or projects with electrical safety at the heart of the process.”
Martyn Allen, Technical Director of the Charity added:. “We are delighted to be making our safety innovation award for a third year – particularly during the difficult period of a pandemic. But in a time of uncertainty, there is huge opportunity for innovation to shine. This award is all about acknowledging those individuals and companies who stand out as safety champions.”
