What Makes ChairMate Special?

This new product enables wheelchair users to be evacuated efficiently and conveniently, without having to be moved from their own wheelchair. 

 

ChairMate was recently installed in Cadbury World. Prior to the installation, the organisation acknowledged that they had no means of evacuating people in wheelchairs. Tim Gimbert, Operations Manager for Cadbury World came to the conclusion that ChairMate was the company’s best solution to this problem.  Having ChairMate now ensures that should the need for an evacuation occur, anyone in a wheelchair will be evacuated from the building safely and quickly, whilst remaining in their own wheelchair.

 

ChairMate will connect to most standard non motorised wheelchairs and transport the wheelchair with occupant downstairs with ease. Using caterpillar tracks and a fully controllable braking system ChairMate can be operated by the slightest of persons, irrespective of the wheelchair combination weight. An optional transit wheelchair is available to facilitate the evacuation of non wheelchair users, making ChairMate the one product fire evacuation solution.
