DEFINITION:
Emergency evacuation equipment is equipment that can be used to evacuate the sick, the elderly, an occupant with a disability or someone who is injured from a building in the event of a fire or other emergency. Evacuation equipment can include evacuation chairs, ski sheets, sleds, mattresses & stretchers.
