Kentec’s ‘Top Gear’ On Show At Leading Motor Museum

The prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum, the UK’s largest motor museum and home to the country’s most comprehensive collection of the World’s greatest cars, is being protected by a new fire safety system that includes a Kentec fire alarm control panel.

Following a recent £5m refurbishment, the prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum, at Sparkford in Somerset, now allows its more than 400 classic cars and motorbikes, dating from 1885 to the present day, to be displayed in stunning style. The collection includes a host of familiar names such as Austin, MG, and Morris, exotic performance cars such as the Dodge Viper and XJ220, to modern classics such as the Jaguar E Type and AC Cobra.

The upgraded and extended fire and security system, designed and installed by security and solutions specialists Logiscan Security Systems Ltd., is based on an Apollo XP95 Intelligent Analogue Addressable solution linked to a Kentec Syncro Control panel that provides the highest level of protection of staff, visitors and vehicles. As well as providing early automatic detection, the fire safety system allows vehicles to be started within the museum without creating unwanted activations.

Kentec’s flagship ‘open protocol’ Syncro series is recognized as one of the most powerful systems of its type on the market today, guaranteeing the very highest standards of performance, safety and reliability that such hallmark venues demand.
