Warringtonfire Invests in furnace capabilities in High Wycombe

London, UK – May 27, 2020 – Independent fire-testing company   b which is part of the Element Group, has invested in new furnace capabilities at its laboratory in High Wycombe.

With an increased demand for the testing of doorsets with a maximum size of 1.1m x 2.3m, the team at Warringtonfire has made significant modifications to its small-scale 1.5m x 1.5m cubed furnace to accommodate these requirements.

Investing in a purpose-built fitment, the new furnace now measures 1.5m x 2.5m and can perform fire resistance testing to BS EN 1634-1 for full-scale single-leaf doorsets in a blockwork-supporting construction. The interchangeable fitment can also revert back to a cubed configuration, allowing the laboratory to continue offering horizontal testing.

Rob Veitch, EVP of Fire & Building Products at Element, said: “This investment in our furnace capabilities allows us to accommodate changing customer needs and importantly, it will significantly reduce lead times.

“Through this investment, we aim to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers and ensure that testing requirements are delivered on time, every time.”
